Life Lessons Learned From Animal Painting
Whenever she works at home, this graphic artist is haunted by a bunch of little faces. Creating print ads and coupons were what she did while at home, but everything that she did seemed colorless. Outside her office sit four dogs and four cats, watching her through a screened door. You can get the best pet portrait information by visiting this website.
A new career opened up for her because of those faces. She was headed for Texas when she decided to put the images of her animals on canvas. She bases the colors used in the portrait from the animal’s personality, and not its actual color.
She makes it a point to capture the essence of the animal when she paints. With different colors, I can paint the animal’s personality and looks. In Mississippi, she painted a mixed breed, which was her first painting. This dog, red in color, remained close to the couple.
Green was the color she decided to use for her dog who was always jealous. This artist may be using nonconventional colors, but she’s not the first one. A red eyed blue dog was the painting that one cajun artist made in 1984 in commemoration of his dog who died in 1980. To get a closer look on pet painting visit this site.
The blue dog is a standout in her paintings. But while many people think his blue dog paintings are whimsical, the artist sees her as a ghost, trapped and searching, something that always penetrates his life and in everything he sees. Each of the paintings, though quite humorous on the outside, actually have deep spiritual messages embedded in them. The same questions that haunt humankind are what the dog asks us as she stares at us.
She wants to capture the animal’s vitality in her art. She selects colors that are vibrant and odd patterns to capture how they act. These animals which she now owns were rescued from either the streets or from animal shelters. The latest dog she adopted was going from one neighbor’s house to another.
To advertise herself as a pet portrait maker, she placed fliers in local veterinarian offices. She tells clients to provide her with photographs of the animal as well as a description of the animal’s personality. She does not pick the colors until she first understands the animal. These portraits she makes are not just ordinary portraits for the customer’s satisfaction, the owner said.
Someone had used bright yellow for her portrait to capture the energy that flows within her. An art gallery owner stresses that even whimsical portraits have this way of capturing people who know the subjects. Appreciating a portrait is a separate idea from simply looking at the portrait.
